An outgoing and charismatic president helped the nation avoid armed conflict throughout his time in the Oval Office.
Donald Trump revealed his extraverted, sensing, thinking, and perceiving character helped prevent the United States from launching wars against other countries.
“The fake news media said my personality would get us into a war [and they reported] ‘I am telling you that guy is going to get us into a war’ but, actually, my personality is what kept us out of war,'” he said according to Sky News.
The Republican revealed he is America’s first head of state to avert new military conflicts in more than 30 years.
“I was the only president in nearly four decades who did not get America into any new conflicts. Instead, I brought our troops and our wonderful children back home. I brought them back home where they belong,” he said, according to the broadcaster.
He also suggested the current Russia-Ukraine conflict was partly due to successor Joe Biden’s failure to contain border tension between the two Eastern European countries. He made the remarks at a Save America rally in Commerce, Georgia, on March 26.
Trump revealed he did not lose a single U.S. soldier in Afghanistan for 18 months.
“I spoke to Abdul [Ghani Baradar], the leader of the Taliban [and] I said, ‘Abdul, do not do it, Abdul,'” he said, according to the Conservative News Daily.
“The fake news said, ‘Oh, he is speaking to the Taliban’—who the hell else am I supposed to speak to?” he added.
